HANA's Eco Bag is an eco-bag made of Japanese news papers and glues.

Under the mission to give new life and role to used items and byproducts, otherwise thrown out as wastes, NWSD (a coined word of "NEW" and "USED") project introduced this idea to a facility for the disabled located in Kisarazu-shi, Chiba, called HANA. They soon started to perfect and even made a different, smaller design, which is now called "HANA's Eco Bag" named after the organization.

Making eco-bags with news papers first became popular in the Summer 2008, invented by a housewife in Shimanto, Kochi prefecture. The unique method to make eco-bags with one of the most popular item and waste generated from households has spreaded rapidly throughout Japan.
