Don't miss WASHOKU Cookware Series to cook three Golden Japanese Home Cuisine!
Iron's quick temperature recovery makes Nambu Ironware Tempura Pot perfect for "tempura” (=deep fried vegetables and seafood). Of course, you can use Tempura Pot for regular deep-fry dishes and even to deep-fry frozen food without losing the heat and maintaining it at the optimum temperature.
If you are a fan of fried food, make sure not to drop the heat while frying. When the temperature drops, the food absorbs more oil adding extra fat and calories- which you may not want.

What is Nambu ironware?
Tekki means ironware. Nambu ironware first originated in the Heian period (782-1191) in what is now Iwate Prefecture, Japan. This traditional Japanese art gained a strong reputation throughout the country in the Meiji period.

The ironware is cast by pouring molten iron into a sand mold. Melting down old broken pots and pans and remaking them into new ones has been taken as a given since the olden days. Nambu ironware are 75% recycled products.
